13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
To those tossed by the waves, “be still and know that I am God!”

As I was reading the email exchanges yesterday, the words to this MBE
hymn/poem came to mind to pray with:
It matter not what be thy lot, so Love doth guide;
For storm or shine, pure peace is thin, whate’er be tide.
And of these stones or tyrants thrones, God able is
to raise up seed – in thought and deed – to faithful His.
Aye, darkling sense, arise go hence!
Our God is good.
False fears are foes – truth tatters those,
When understood.
Love looseth thee, and lifteth me
Ayont hate’s thrall:
There Life is light and wisdom might,
And God is All.
The centuries break, the earth-bound wake,
God’s glorified!
Who doth His will -His likeness still –
Is satisfied.
I was also lead to Mrs. Eddy’s counsel in Misc. Writings (p.223) entitled
“Taking Offense:”
“The mental arrow shot from another’s bow is practically harmless, unless
our own thought barbs it. It is our pride that makes another’s criticism
rankle, our self-will that makes another’s deed offensive, our egotism that
feels hurt by another’s self-assertion…Be determined not to be offended
when no wrong is meant, nor even when it is, unless the offense be against
God.”
Peace, love, and stillness to you all,
Sue
