Good motives and honest intentions can make even the smallest reward sparkle as a precious gem. Likewise, great material gains gotten without a full measure of integrity, can seem like a lump of coal, dark and heavy and unrewarding.

While we may justify dishonest or less than upright ways of making money, claiming we are victims or that the system is against us, in the end we may still feel that any substance we have gained this way somehow does not seem right and legitimate. It feels wrong to us because we are men and women of integrity and behavior in line with this higher standard suits us so much better.

In addition, even a little gained by the right way can have so much power. If we act from a standpoint of Principle, we benefit so much more than without it; for Principle is power and a trust in it causes our blessings to multiply. A true sense of flourishing comes by knowing that the very Source of our income, our supply, and all the good that would come to us, is God, and His loving-kindness. His gifts of Love come without compromising good and they come without a punishing sense of guilt or discomfort.

A little with righteousness is a lot, for it sparkles with God’s approval and its value can’t help but rise in proportion to our faith in and reliance on God, boundless good.
