I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:18
In the words of St. John: “He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” This comforter I understand to be Divine Science.

Dealing with Loneliness

When loneliness would rend my heart,
And sadness claim my soul,
May I accept some holy Truth
To bring new joy and make me whole.
Aloneness need not be a curse,
Nor should it stigma bear;
I must see me and everyone
Within the Love that heals and cares.
For loneliness is a false claim
That man is not complete;
One must not dwell on lonesome self,
But must see All in Love replete.
‘Tis then man has all Love to share,
And manifest each day;
The heart must open wide for Love,
To enter in and bless one’s Way.
Then loneliness, as night, must yield
To new All-One-ness Light;
For Love abundant all may prove,
With buoyant heart and joyous might.
Oh, may I be receptive, Lord,
To prove my Loving part;
Then every sense of loneliness
Must pass as Love restores my heart.
