Resolved on New Year’s Day
8,8,8,8
by Rev. Paul Lachlan Peck
Whene’er I greet the glorious dawn
That ushers in a brand New Year,
I start anew to reach my goat,
To banish sickness, pain and fear.
I learn from past deficiencies,
From long, dark nights in error’s thrall;
I learn from sickness, fear and pain,
To know that God as Love is All.
I pledge my sense of Love anew
To bless my family and friends;
All Love forever is at hand
To strengthen my resolve again.
My hands must work the Father’s Plan,
My heart must reach the lonely ones;
My head must yield to Mind Supreme,
‘Til all agenda earns “Well done!”
And when another year appears,
I trust that pure resolve will show
That I have labored faithfully,
To reap with Angels what is sown.
