Bless These Hands
By Rev. Paul Lachlan Peck, I Universe,
(Psalm 90:17)
7,7,7,7
Bless these hands, O Lord, that work
In the vineyard day by day;
May they never idly shirk
From the tasks within the Way.
Keep my motives pure and clear,
Keep my heart in loving Grace;
Keep me from all doubt and fear,
Keep me steady in the race.
Keep my thoughts in line with Mind,
Keep my purpose with sure strength;
Keep my inward beauty kind,
Keep me in Light’s Path at length.
Bless the work I do each day,
Bless the ones I serve as well;
Bless my peers, and all that may
Need the Love that in me dwells.
Bless and make these Healing Hands,
So sensitive to every need;
Bless them with angelic bands
Of healing power and good deeds.
Bless these hands and all they touch,
No task too simple or too grand;
Comforters are needed much.
Bless these hands of perfect man!
