The Precious Moments

These moments that I spend with thee, dear Lord,
Are special times so filled with Love and peace;
Rejoicing as I read the inspired Word,
The Truth must bring an ultimate release.
Release from pressures caused by stress and strain,
Release from fearful thoughts that grip my heart;
Release from sickness and all forms of pain,
Release from loneliness when set apart.
Rejoicing when the sick receive their cure,
Rejoicing when the mournful come to Life;
Rejoicing when the sinful become pure,
Rejoicing when the factious cease their strife.
Responding to the smile of smallest child,
Responding to the call to be made whole;
Responding to the strangers in the Field,
Responding to the urgings of my Soul.
These moments, Lord, are precious times indeed,
These moments lead me from captivity;
These moments far from ritual and creed,
These moments come when I commune with Thee.
O keep me ever tuned to Mind’s appeal,
And keep me knowing Love is everywhere;
Keep my perspective only in the real,
And keep my Life in Love that ever cares.
