Special Edition – New & Updated Information for EI Conference in Colorado – 06/06/2013

The previous years I had worked at Sportsman’s Valley Guest Ranch, where the owners, Hortense and Preston Beaver, who were Christian Scientists, were . . . talkative, customer oriented, and always full of a bright, positive, Mary Baker Eddy lightness that was contagious.

Judy Collins – “The Blizzard” 1989

Judy Collins sings her Colorado tribute song in this 1989 concert taped in CO.

The official title is The Blizzard. That’s the title on the album CD, her “Voices” CD and her Christmas CD. When the single was released and distributed for radio play, it was re-named “The Colorado Song” because there was a tie-in with the Colorado Department of Tourism. For the radio track, however, they took a 7 minute song and cut and patched it together to make a shorter, 4 minute song. It was an unsuccessful effort, and the shorter “Colorado Song” never charted.

In just 137 days we will be gathering in Denver for the Emergence International Conference!  Are you making your plans to come yet?!

Our keynote speaker at the conference this year will be Cindy Zwick, CS, of Bainbridge Island, WA and Tucson, AZ.  Cindy is a Journal-listed practitioner and was a public speaker and trainer before entering the Practice full-time.  We are looking forward to her inspiring talk on Identity.

In addition to the keynote speaker, Tom Taffel and Jewell Hood, long-time EI attendees, will be formally sharing with us.  Tom’s talk is entitled, “Coming Out…For Good.”  He will be relating his personal journey “through ‘the valley of the shadow of death’ into manhood, happiness, completeness and a long term relationship of 41 years.”

Remember, early registration is encouraged. If you register and pay for the conference by August 1st, the conference fee will be $200 for the weekend (including the some meals).  After August 1st, the conference fee will go up to $225.

To register for the conference, send your name, address, phone number and email address, along with your check, to Emergence International, P.O. Box 16554, Phoenix, AZ 85011-6554.
