A Day to take your breath away. A day to celebrate love and equality. Group hug.
Matthew Shepard’s mom, Judy, wishes her son were alive to see Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling that struck down the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
“I wish he’d been here to see it,” she added. “This case warms my heart, to think that his dream is still coming true.”

Fear not! The Father’s tender care
Is round us all, is everywhere —
He loves us.
Within His thoughts we all abide;
He sends His angels to our side
To guard us.
Fret not! His guidance certain is,
He maps our path and we are His —
He holds us.
Then hear His voice that shows the right,
Nor ask to see beyond the light
That guides us.
Mourn not! Though loved ones disappear,
Yet Mother-Love is ever here,
Rejoice that all forever dwell
With Christ in God. All— all is well.
God loves us.
